UL leakage current test requirements for new medical ANSI / AAMI standard ES60601-1: 2005
Based on the new edition of medical standards UL ANSI / AAMI ES60601-1: 2005 section 8.7.3 (d) requirements
The leakage current limit value of 5 mA (Normal condition), 10 mA (Single Fault Condition),
Contact current is 100 uA users (Normal condition), 500 uA (Single Fault Condition)
Contrast between old and new standards, we can find relaxation in the leakage current limits in the new
version of many, many manufacturers in designing the product relatively easy, but recent UL inform:
suggest we still use the old version of limit values to request that the customer

may be limited in value back to a more stringent standard in the past. When designing a Medical Equipment
